AARSC conducts researches on communications and computing security technologies; research findings are shared to the public in form of training, consultancy, publications on journals and magazines.

To conduct research that will help uncover security flaws in ICT infrastructures and electronic devices, thereafter, provide a necessary knowledge on how to mitigate the possible cyber attacks.

Dr. Kosmas Kapis
Director of Training
Dr Kapis is a PhD holder which was jointly graduated from Delft University of Technology (TU-Delft) of The Netherlands and The Open University of Tanzania (OUT). He specializes in applied Cryptography. He is a founder and first Leader of Cyber Security and Network Research Group at the College of Information and Communication Technologies of the University of Dar es Salaam.
He has several years experience and strong complementary background in information security focusing on cryptographic techniques, applications and management. He has conducted several workshops and training in Information security management. He has accumulated proven organization, coordination and problem solving skills. He is committed to high ethical standards in professionalism and competence.
Mr. Kilimba is a Masters degree holder (MSc. Digital Electronic) offered jointly by the University of Sussex and the University of Brighton in the UK. He also attended courses on penetration testing and awarded a Certificate in Ethical Hacking from a South African based security research institute – Sense Post.
Kilimba is a researcher on cyber security; he has served as a member of The National Research Registration Committee (NRRC) and also as a member of the ICT R&D Advisory Committee which is housed at the Commission for Science and Technology (COSTECH). He has been a keynote speaker in various ICT security conferences organized by the ICT Commission and other ICT stakeholders in Tanzania and abroad.
Geofrey has spent time researching on information and communications security technologies. His current research works are based on cryptographic systems, GSM security, Malware Analysis and Digital forensics. He is also a Technical Editor at TechMagazine – An online Tanzanian based ICT security magazine.
Jacob J. Mtui is a seasoned ICT expert in the country who holds Masters degree from Delft Technical University in the Netherlands. He has been in the Tanzania industry for more than 20 years. Jacob has acquired experiences in major ICT related projects both local and abroad. His experience covers most aspects of ICT Infrastructure and systems management, control and Maintenance. Mtui is well respected in his work on penetration testing and network security auditing.
Ruronona graduated at the University of Dar es Salaam in year 2008 with an award of BSc. In Electronic Science and Communications. He attended numerous trainings including Intelligent Network Administration and Maintenance in Nairobi Kenya and Uniform Voucher Center (UVC) System Management and Maintenance in Shengzen China. Since his graduate from University, Gilbert spent his time with MIC Tanzania Limited managing Unix and Linux Database Administration (Informix, Oracle and MS SQL server), Samba configuration and Administration and performs Network administration and security.
Peter Kisa Baziwe
Peter is a Certified Information systems Auditor and Security professional. He has over 14 years experience in Information Technology at International and Local level. He specializes in PCI- DSS compliance, security audits and cyber-forensics He is the Technical Lead Information Security and Compliance at 4payAfrica. Since his graduation from Brunel University, Peter has spent time conducting Wireless penetration testing on RFID and 802.11 and 16 networks. He worked with Arhont Security Ltd (UK) as Wireless Consultant in charge of implementation and securing WiFi and wireless mesh networks
